-siloed, inconsistent structure -terrible internal and external user interfaces, databases and integrated systems -no training -weird fearful culture, toxic positivity encouraged and any questioning is severely frowned upon -budget and resource allocation a constant flux, causes constant interdepartmental competition -faculty ignored, staff needs ignored, constant turnover, expect to do 2-3 jobs with no extra pay
