Pros
The job is relatively easy
Cons
The company is largely void of competent engineers and there's virtually no passion to be found. Bureaucracy is thick and combined with 1. The low drive within the company culture and 2. The very low likelihood of any given project proposal actually coming to fruition, the onus for the average WEC engineer has very little focus on actually building and pushing for success. There is a massive age gap within the company, with most engineers being under 35 or over 60. Due to the lack of meaningful work within the nuclear industry for decades, the talent pool has hollowed out, and those that remain largely consist of engineers willing to take a paycheck knowing that the vast majority of their careers will be spent on analyses that will never be used.
