Pros
The compensation and benefits are very competitive. But they need to pay well because of the nature of the business. The company is going through a transitional period right now with many older employees either retiring or receiving packages to leave. May be a good time for younger employees to move up.
Cons
Boring work environment. Unfortunately, I don't work at the new corporate palace Westinghouse built in Cranberry, PA which is very nice. I work in a 43 yo mfg facility that is dull and outdated. The work is rather unexciting and the security makes you feel like you work at a prison sometimes. The business seems to be run on spreadsheets, managers have very little authority and the cafeteria is sub-par.
