Pros
There a number of good people who want to do good things at the company. SOME leaders allow flexible working (hours, work from home, etc).
Cons
A large proportion of the leadership team (EVPs) are not only terrible leaders, but seemingly terrible people in general. I’m sure they do something of value to someone, but engaging, empowering, and developing employees is definitely not it. Promotions are primarily based on who you know and/or how much of the blue kool-aid you drink. At least half of the leaders (Director and above) are in their position because they have been for decades and no one has the capability to make a hard decision and have an uncomfortable conversation, or position is based on who they’re buddies with at a higher level. When the company says that it’s too top heavy with senior professionals and talk about implementing cost savings, there is a history of promoting the current (likely incompetent) leaders (example: VPS to SVPS) and promote them. Stop doing that, or at least save everyone the crap pretending anyone cares about costs.
