Great benefits and challenging work. Plenty of training opportunities for new employees. Developing a technical leadership program to promote technical skills throughout the company. Management understands the work/family life balance, provided you are able to meet commitments and do not abuse it. There is a lot of experience in the company and a lot of opportunities for knowledge exchange.
Cons
The company is going through a major growth boom. As with other engineering organizations, there is a large gap between employees close to retirement and new graduates. Project managers on high level projects do not have the necessary technical knowledge to be able to drive projects to completion. Many of the employees close to retirement just want to do enough to get the job done, without providing adequate guidance to junior personnel.
