Pros
The benefits and pay were good, except for the retirement benefits.
Cons
I hated my life when I worked here, was deeply unhappy. Toxic coworkers who are known about but not dealt with; mismanagement by a manager that didn't even know anything about my job or had ever stepped foot in the facility I worked in; no emphasis on positive work culture; they overworked both myself and my supervisor to save the company money. The contractors that work hourly at nuclear outages only get a week or 2 off a year, and when they go around the country and work 84 hour weeks on projects for months out of the year, they only give them about 1-2 days to rest before coming back to their facility to begin on 40s again. I found another job with a great company and left, and my mental health has been great since. Today, when went to transfer my retirement funds to my new employer, I saw they had taken back everything they had matched me in the almost 2 years I was them. Over $11k. Apparently you have to be there for 3 years to get the retirement matching, but that was never told to me. This prompted my review today. This place isn't employee focused, they really only care about money. I would suggest looking elsewhere for employment if you want to be treated like a valuable human being. The only thing I can say that was positive was the salary and the other benefits.
