9yAppreciate the positive comments about the energy, passion and products we build here. Thank you also for the comments on inconsistent experiences, especially around people leaving. Nothing is harder than making the decision to ask someone to leave WillowTree, and while at times there may be disagreements around that decision, there should never be a feeling that someone was blindsided and not given an opportunity to address the issues, and we will redouble our efforts in this regard. I should point out that it is very rare that someone is asked to leave WillowTree, and we have redoubled our efforts to make sure that it is never a surprise (unless it is a clear violation of company policies). In terms of communication, in the rare event we do let someone go, to protect his or her privacy, it’s often just not possible (nor the right thing to do) to explain to the company at large what happened other than the team member is no longer here.
