I worked at Wings for 5+ years and still have many friends that work for them. With a heavy heart I cannot recommend working here. I didn't realize how little I was valued until I left the company and gained some retrospective. I've worked both in branch and back office. I can tell you that both are equally bad depending on how you weigh them. For me, having a supportive and welcoming environment was priority and unfortunately you will not find it here. Inside the branch, relations are nothing but unhealthy competitions with unequal payouts. The incentives are a complete pyramid scheme and have corrupted lending practices. The back office environment is non the better. Typical Minnesota passive aggressive attitudes permeate through the building. Dept teams do not care about helping you unless it benefits their respective department. All of this creates an uncommunicative and toxic workplace. However, the most disappointing fact about Wings is the pay. The company operates as not-for-profit, so there are no stakeholders and they pay zero in taxes. No excuse for the low wages. The SVP's salaries are public info. I urge you to look at what they make from this so called not-for-profit.
