Pros
Limited and not worth mentioning
Cons
An extremely poor middle and senior management and absolutely senseless directorate, all promoting each other and covering each others’ mistakes which amounted into hundreds of thousands of pounds. Using a word ‘culture’ would be an insult to the word itself as there is very little of it on the ground; some people, including the very management, are rude, unintelligent, arrogant and vulgar, some staff created their little, what one could call, as gangs, cooperation or collaboration was non-existent or just about tolerable, the rest are afraid to speak up about problems and those who do speak up end up either redundant, leaving the place or suppressing their true feelings, out of desperation. Ultimately, money are wasted, experienced and highly competent people are being made redundant and now the company is recruiting to similar or same roles, with newly recruited staff requiring training and years of experience to acquire. Poor management yet management stays and maintains same suffocating environment for the staff to work in. Management throws a lot of nice and meaningful words, but they do not live by those words, do not implement them in to their operations. So called ‘Our values’ is just a yearly charade, management does not know the true meaning of values. I have made a bad decision by going to work at amec, started regretting it after 6 months of employment, stayed and continued regretting my decision. You deserve better!
