Wood... ugh

Pros

Nothing good about that organization. Only pro is they have a nice building with a decent cafe. Having Starbucks in the building helps. Would be better if they served booze to deal with the mess of a company Wood is.

Cons

Terrible leadership. Corrupt to the core. Zero respect. Run by utter amateurs. Not a single person in a leadership role there could ever get an equivalent job elsewhere. Just a matter of time before Karma kicks in.

Pros

When it was Mustang - Great talent and people who wanted to work. Good Pay

Cons

Too reactive - didnt listen to the whole story before making rash decisions which sank the company. Executives are getting direction from Aberdeen which does not always work in the US. Instead of fixing the problems, would cut the head of the top and make everyone else start over. All about outsourcing everything in an attempt to save money, but more money is being spent on just keep antiquated systems running

Wood is beyond salvation. Most dysfunctional company I've ever worked at. Major executive leadership changes every 2 years. How do you expect any kind of stability and effective management when everything completely changes every 2 years? I've had 4, yes 4 line supervisors in just under a year working here. Directors and VP never meet or hold meetings so we all operate in the dark. Frustrating to work when there are no clear goals or guidance and no tools, resources, to do your job. IT has been outsourced, you have to pay for most of your own supplies (cant get a mousepad or head phones - really?, had to buy my own), pretty much a joke here. Alot of layoffs going on some due to the Foster Wheeler acquisition but why fire people only to hire same or simliar roles just a few months later? Makes no sense. Horrible ethics and policies. Have been several cases of employees embezzling money, resources, and giving work to relatives and friends.
