Pros
Its a job. When I started working for what was Foster Wheeler Biokinetics, it was great. The hours were long but it was a great work environment and things were positive. Each year presented a new challenge that broke the will lf the group until everyone but a few on us remained. It became a negative place to work. Constant change in management because corporate did not understand the business line in comparison to the others. Amec purchased in the midst of this. Then it really got bad. Poor direction from corporate on rebranding the division. No support from headquarters and no financial investment. In the end the group became a joke in the market place. When Wood acquired the company, I was elated when they laid me off. I got my package and was happy to be finished.
Cons
There are too many to list. Not enough steady work, unhappy employees, overworked employees, poor benefits, sexual harrassment to name a few.
