Pros

There was flexible work hours with half days on Fridays but that is all going away this year in 2019.

Cons

If youre desperate for a job and have no other options then wood is an ok place to join. Why any sane person with other work options chooses to work here is beyond comprehension. I wonder myself why I am still here. Things were always a bit messy before the AMEC Foster acquisition and complicated but things were so decompartmentalized I suppose things actually worked. Once they started trying to combine and restructure everything Woods been sinking straight to the bottom. Since the acquisition everything is exponentially worse. Management never communicates anything, people are confused about whats going on. Never thought things could get worse but they have. Most of the smart management already jumped ship and the lack of experience and direction shows. Training doesn't exist. IT support is horrendous. Too many outdated tools and systems. My paycheck sometimes doesn't come thru. Vacation must be earned. Benefits are expensive. Compensation poor compared to the market. This place could be a good place to work but Wood never took the time to set things right from the get go. Always putting patches in the hull of the ship and now its all failing. Wood's lost and let go too many valuable people and the leadership is showing its true colors in sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
