Pros

Great plans for the future Friendly people Talks a good game about diversity and inclusion, no idea if it'll actually make a difference Talks a good game about flexibility and picking up new roles and skills ("Future Fit") Takes COVID-19 seriously (mostly) - moved us to remote as soon as it was declared an emergency, phased plan for return

Cons

Lots of top-down plans for improvement in many areas; so few actually trickle down to the rest of us. Poor communication from local management. Willing to cut your pay if the going gets tough and not return it later when times improve, even as they magically have it in the budget for management who voluntarily took pay cuts. Ours wasn't voluntary. No path to actually gain new roles and skills talked about in Future Fit, no money for training. Punishing those of us in roles that support projects if those are slow - e.g. we either lose money or PTO if we can't charge to a project that week. When we return to the office, we're getting consolidated into a much smaller space, closer to each other. Doesn't help that "planning for a pandemic" image very well.

Pros

Flexible working environment. Most people still work from home and rarely go into the office.

Cons

Leadership has been terrible over the last 5 years. Constantly reviving the same slogans and strategy that did not work with the last leadership team. Constantly in financial distress, no consistency.
