Pros
Okay platform for billing, I never have to hunt down payments from parents. Good scheduling system. (Nothing tutorpanel can't do for a lot less money out of my pocket though!)
Cons
Starting rate is redonkalous. I pay the same percentage rate to an actual office that I work out of, but they give me space to work out of, office equipment, training, tutorpanel subscription etc, and they actually give me leads instead of leaving me to fend for myself. Starting out on WyzAnt is REALLY HARD, they definitely don't give you any guidance. Now that I'm more established there it isn't so bad, but it took a long time to get my first lead from them. I don't really know why, but I generally find that WyzAnt parents have unreasonable expectations in comparison to other parents that I work with. I can bill higher out of my office and the parents basically just trust me to do my job, I think with WyzAnt since I "came from the internet" they think of tutoring as a commodity.
