Pros
I was able to connect quickly with new clients and have had a steady stream of work since starting WyzAnt. In the beginning it was a little disconcerting because I might send out several back and forth emails to prospective clients and then suddenly get no response, but this was certainly not the case on all...and I quickly ended up having to start sending emails saying I was too busy to take on new clients! Love the review feature also, and the background check piece! The pay structure is what it is: I have tutored for years and I get paid just as much or more through WyzAnt than I did anywhere else.
Cons
Because I was getting too much work, I began sharing leads with a friend through WyzAnt. It was a little bit annoying to have a wyzant employee send me an email checking up on my friend to make sure they were also a WyzAnt employee and I wasn't going outside of the system. Another time I had a prospective client try to get around the system and I felt that reflected poorly on me. I don't have a problem with them taking their cut, so it gets a little irritating to be monitored so invasively.
