Pros

Website promotes smiling faces and sunny, grass fields. Their front is to help kids apparently, but no one knows for sure.

Cons

I was a prospective tutor, but broadly, the first interaction never passed the primary email response. The agent initiated a condescending tone with threats to remove me from their 'platform' for offering lessons online only. There are four reasonable responses to this position: 1) the website clearly states tutors can provide services online, 2) according to their contract I am a contractor and can't be forced to meet in person, 3) I'm providing lessons for CAD which is an advanced drafting software primarily for college students and the working class (prompting, who else but adults would be requesting CAD tutors anyway? Online - right?), 4) never do business with folks that begin relationships with threats.

nothing, really nothing. i signed up with them got a few jobs then once a week i would get the same notification that there was someone looking for a tutor then when i tried to go back to accept the job got a message that it was a scam and they were removing it. it was always the same name and they would follow up with the same autogenerated message: Hi Chris, We are reaching out in regards to a message you recently received from xxxxxxxxxxxxxx . After reviewing this request, we have determined that we will not be able to facilitate lessons with this account. Consequently, we have removed the request and your response rate and time will not be affected. Wyzant may remove requests that violate the terms of use, academic honesty or test policies, or if a request appears to be spam. Additionally, Wyzant may remove requests that cannot be facilitated because they fall outside of the parameters of our platform, or are not related to tutoring. Please note that Wyzant will not be able to uphold any lesson charges for this user or any new accounts they may create.

Cons

so, for literally four years this went on i get a message about a real job, and i do not respond to it for two days and they ban my account.
