Pros

A respected utility organization, reasonable time-off accrual, partial tuition reimbursement

Cons

Senior management insists on the implementation of big ideas without providing any guidance and blames middle management for lack of results. Middle management focuses on shifting blame to others. No coherent planning takes place, so when things do happen they are rushed, ineffective, and stressful.

Work-life balance, okay benefits, and cemented impact on the community

Cons

Because the company has a bottom line, promotional paths aren't really a thing beyond individual contributor to manager. I don't know what the next level up would be besides that.
