Pros

The environment is quite lax when you walk around the Call Center, even before Covid struck our nation. People are, for the most part, friendly, and during my tenure there it was very easy to talk to them in order to resolve their issues. Of course, there were problematic people, but for every one of those you have a dozen others who are willing to work with you in a more concise fashion. The corporate hierarchy is as you expect: start off at the bottom of the totem pole, with the potential to work upwards if you so want to. The benefits are incredible, from health insurance for individuals being anywhere from $5 to $60, depending on how comprehensive you want to make it. Alongside fair PTO, floating holiday, and FMLA.

Cons

As per the title, there is one major, fatal flaw that made it a nightmare to work with. I personally have a mental illness that makes it difficult to focus sometimes, compounded with depression that was exacerbated by Covid. It made things significantly harder to work, and I took the chance to disclose this with the company. I had hoped to make accommodations to work with them, but that ended up not being the case. Every chance management had during my performance reviews, they would ask why I, "couldn't work as well as the other workers," or refused to make accommodations for me that would be a good compromise. Instead, their view of mental illness for struggling to meet the performance reviews, even *after* disclosing it to them, was trying to make accommodations for physical disabilities. Including but not limited to: putting me in a cubicle away from my general work area; putting up 'blinders' in my work area so I wasn't distracted; etc. For note: mental illness is not equivalent to physical. And it felt as if the management in charge of my department had been constantly looking for ways to get me out of the company simply because I had a disability. If you have a mental disability, it might make your stay here an uphill battle. If you can push through it, the benefits are incredible, but tread carefully.

Pros

Work-life balance, okay benefits, and cemented impact on the community

Cons

Because the company has a bottom line, promotional paths aren't really a thing beyond individual contributor to manager. I don't know what the next level up would be besides that.
