Management couldn't care less about the well being of their employees. That is from the top (the CEO) down to middle management. This worse in some groups then others. They put on a front pretending they care about you and your development as an employee, but it's only because they have to. You are nothing to them. You are expected to be a work horse so work life balance is non exsistent. They will overlook you for promotions and a raise in pay in favor of someone bright and shiny off the street. This happens all of the time in one particular department.
