Pros
Side work is easy. There is a silverware roller. Food is good. Hotschedules is used. Sales can be high if you have a good night.
Cons
This place is so corporate to the point where nothing makes sense. All the decisions come from top down, so the GMs don't have the flexibility to make decisions that actually make sense for their location. They will write you up for being one minute late or for forgetting your name tag (which they have plenty extras). Umm sorry, how about life happens? We are all human and make mistakes sometimes? The management doesn't get held accountable, however. They can act as unprofessional as they want without any repercussions. I have witnessed managers get into screaming matches with staff before. They are constantly berating and insulting us. They treat us like children - "write ups"... Are we in middle school? While servers will get fired for being caught using their phone one time on a shift, managers can use their phones whenever they please and in front of guests too. Another thing- the tip out is too high. Why are we tipping such a large percentage to food runners when we STILL get screamed at constantly for "hands out"? Finally, the place is extremely overstaffed to the point where servers have 3 table sections- that is just insulting. How are we supposed to make any money with that? One time, on the busiest day of the year at our location, I worked a SIXTEEN HOUR shift and made about $250. Meanwhile the restaurant made $100k in sales that day. How is that possible? It's because this is a greedy corporation that will overstaff so that no servers make money while the management can brag about their $100k in sales and get rewarded for our hard work.
