Pros

-Start up atmosphere, and the people are nice, young and fun. -Product is overall good and seen as top notch in the space. -Good place to start a sales career, not for an established salesperson -Fun events from time to time

Cons

-The pay is not equal across the board. Some people get paid significantly less than others for doing the exact same job. -High turn over -Product is extremely overpriced compared to competitors. Makes for a very difficult sale when they do 90% of Yotpo's platform. -very little upward mobility. Senior management will tell you things might change soon and they never do, and try to make you feel like it's around the corner. -During interview process they will tell you they average 90% of reps to goal. That is false, not even remotely close to the truth. In the years I have been there they have been averaging 30% month over month with the occasional good performance month across the board. It's normally the senior reps (who get handed very hot leads; no one else does) who reach goal, and the rest scramble to get there and usually fail.

Pros

Despite the overwhelming amount of issues, I did meet some colleagues who were kind and smart.

Cons

I was at Yotpo for a while, so I saw firsthand how unfair and poorly they operated. It's been said before but if you are a person of color, you will have a very hard time here. They form groups around one identity and favoritism. You won't get promoted or ever feel like you belong. There have been multiple instances where I've felt extremely uncomfortable. Leadership once encouraged us to reach out to customers, asking for support on political causes personal to them. This is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. In the office, some colleagues would bring up divisive topics often and try to force their opinions on others. There were constant changes from leadership that lacked thought and follow through. Instead of thinking about what was best for employees, leadership made decisions that led to burnout, broke trust, and deepened resentment. One great example is deciding to hire multiple people and then 2 months later announcing a layoff - forcing those remaining to work twice as hard. I've seen peers get mistreated by their managers too. It broke my heart to watch kind, hardworking people be gaslit, spoken down to, and disrespected. There's a reason so many have left and are continuing to. Look to the numbers as proof, and do with that what you will.
