Pros

- great product market fit - good inbound demand generation - great coworkers, genuine friendships with so many people - the entire company loves and rallies behind the CEO

Cons

- new sales leader came in a year ago and the sales team has been in a downward spiral. everyone tries to avoid him and no one trusts his judgment calls. I make excuses for why he can’t join deals because he has the opposite of Midas touch. every deal he touches turns to closed lost opportunities or a disaster for me to fix - useless work takes up most of the day because management doesn’t trust sellers to run deal cycles - comp is mediocre and base is lower than counterparts at other companies - 30-40% quota attainment

Pros

Despite the overwhelming amount of issues, I did meet some colleagues who were kind and smart.

Cons

I was at Yotpo for a while, so I saw firsthand how unfair and poorly they operated. It's been said before but if you are a person of color, you will have a very hard time here. They form groups around one identity and favoritism. You won't get promoted or ever feel like you belong. There have been multiple instances where I've felt extremely uncomfortable. Leadership once encouraged us to reach out to customers, asking for support on political causes personal to them. This is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. In the office, some colleagues would bring up divisive topics often and try to force their opinions on others. There were constant changes from leadership that lacked thought and follow through. Instead of thinking about what was best for employees, leadership made decisions that led to burnout, broke trust, and deepened resentment. One great example is deciding to hire multiple people and then 2 months later announcing a layoff - forcing those remaining to work twice as hard. I've seen peers get mistreated by their managers too. It broke my heart to watch kind, hardworking people be gaslit, spoken down to, and disrespected. There's a reason so many have left and are continuing to. Look to the numbers as proof, and do with that what you will.
