Pros
More than any other place I've worked, Zapproved feels like a community. I think the tone of our culture is set by our CEO and the rest of the exec team - they are accessible and kind, which sets a great example for the rest of the company. I also appreciate the level of transparency that we have - there's very rarely something that goes on that isn't shared and discussed with the entire company, which in my opinion makes everyone feel more engaged and satisfied in their work. I also appreciate that the company is continuously looking at opportunities for improvement (including benefits, salaries, our approach to DE&I, etc).
Cons
We're in an interesting phase of our growth right now, and I think it can feel to some like the company is hiring for new positions rather than helping people grow into those roles. My sense is that it's mostly a result of the specific stage the company is in right now, and that the leadership is aware of the need to balance growth opportunities for current employees with the need for specialized talent.
