They were very flexible with me when I had to take time off and supported the fact that I wanted to expand outside of what was in the job description. I was allowed to work on a marketing project and even started tech support training, which I couldn't finish because of the end of my employment.

Sometimes the work felt very repetitive in the role I was working.

Free food 1x week, illusion of open door policy, can make your own hours/schedule on the research side

1. Substandard pay - take this job if desperate, leave when you can 2. Management finds ways to have low/no pay increases, not promote etc. 3. Visa holders- they will find ways to pay you even less which is not allowed. When I got my offer it was much less than market rate and was told my visa application would cost XXX (those costs are a one-time payment but you get lower pay and lower everything for the rest of your career at Zymo given all increases and bonuses are a fraction of your already low salary 4. HR was a huge joke- not sure anyone told them their job is to protect/help employees vs. report everything to the CEO 5. Your position depends on how much the CEO likes you, if he likes you you'll do well
