Pros
- Some friendly coworkers who know how to work hard and have fun - Environment and work culture are pretty chill because managers do not know how to effectively communicate and direct people. Minimal oversight. - Good place to wear multiple hats and experience different departments and new skills. - It pays a salary, although low.
Cons
- There are some people who work their butt off but there are way more lazy people who do absolutely nothing depending on the department and supervisor. This leads to a toxic environment where people will just clock in and clock out with no motivation. - There is a lot of employee turnover. Management does not care about retaining any workers and this leads to a gigantic lack of knowledge transfer and people having to learn everything by themselves. - Chaotic leadership and unbelievably bad business practices. They are always trying to hop onto the next research trend with no planning or direction. Project priorities are shifted all the time which is frustrating. - Nonexistent marketing and sales. There are 0 salespeople. For real??? It’s no wonder the company isn’t growing if it wasn’t for selling COVID related reagents. - Company structure is flat, nobody gets promoted. They will hire new people at a drop of a hat but refuse to pay more to existing employees.
