Pros

Sometimes they have beer, but you have to 'ask your manager first". But if you are lucky enough, to get one beer in your overworked, frustrating day, don't forget to take a picture of your beer and tag it as #athenaculture. Just so everyone knows that its a 'cool place to work'.

Cons

Terrible micro managing- Managers are eager to prove they have leadership skills or something, because every email you send, every mistake you make, is heavily scrutinized. Overworked- Expect to work 45+ hours a week, especially if you are in Implementation. The turn over in this department is staggering (hence the mass group interviews- get as many bodies on the floor as possible.) I have never in my 10+ years experience seen a company that talks so extensively about how amazing and collaborative their culture is, and just does not by any stretch of the imagination, even try to make that a reality. Burn out in the Implementation dept is an acknowledged problem, but as long as you work there for 6+ months, they've gained their ROI and more, so there is no motivation to improve the department. They will for the entirety of your tenure, dangle the possibility of moving to a different department or position, but as soon as you think about voicing your opinion on something that could need improvement or preform slightly below their expectations, they will use that knowledge to almost blackmail you until you step back in line. Literally do not tell them your aspirations because it will be used against you.

Pros

Fairly flexible/hybrid, good culture at least on the teams I’ve been on, ability to work from discovery to delivery on a variety of projects (at least on the teams I’ve been on)

Cons

Cross geo hours can be rough, budgets have been tight for hiring/promotions/travel/social things, not sure about IPO possibilities
