-Solid benefits including 21 PTO days to start, 50% match up to 6% on 401k, reasonably priced health insurance, paternity benefits -Some teams are high functioning, but not all - when you work with smart, driven people you love your job -Culture is great - dogs to work, friendly people, many of whom are driven -Middle of the road compensation -Good bonus structure
Cons
-401k match could be better -health insurance benefits have rapidly deteriorated while the CEO claiming he wants the employees to "shop around" -which is impossible in the current marketplace. -Some directors/VPs take on teams and then fire half the team because they don't like previously agreed upon work arrangements. Those of us left behind feel like we can be let go on a whim. Very toxic. -Many managers are overwhelmed with work and people manager responsibilities, giving us zero time to dedicate to employee development. Managers are not rated on their ability to develop people, leading to misaligned incentives and employees feeling not supported because managers are too busy being individual contributors -"top heavy" structure leading to too many directors and above -Constant re-organization of the company. It didn't work in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016... and here we are trying again in 2017. Many groups are caught in this crossfire and spend months not knowing where they will be or what they will be doing.
