Pros

The customers are passionate and the health benefits are good. The pay is pretty good at first.

Cons

No tuition reimbursement, unclear management practices, and abusive culture from the top. After many years at eCW, the CEO called me to yell at me because he didn't like the way the numbers looked on a presentation. When I quite, a VP called me in surprise, essentially asking why him yelling at me got to me "this time", because he yells at everyone. That's not the way to motivate people. It's one part of why they were sued; people perform out of fear. I was called on weekends and at night (even on vacation) when there was no emergency, just because the culture is that you live and breathe your job. They also disdain their customers. The CEO once told a large group about how they presented the software as though it had a "Scan" button, but it didn't really work, it was just for show. The potential customer asked why it didn't scan, and he said well it needs to be plugged in to a scanner. Then they called it the "Scam" button for years after that, because they signed a large client and later did provide the functionality. It was just to reprehensible to bear.
