Pros

I guess if you desperately need a job (any job) and $15/hr will get you what you need, but just beware.

Cons

The BDR role is a scam job, and I feel foolish having taken the bait. Their business practice is to maintain a pipeline of highly motivated lead generators by promising a non-existent promotion path to Account Executive. Of the 50 BDRs who made up my new hire “class” – less than five remain after three months. Only one BDR remains from the class before mine. It seems like they hire about a hundred people per month – but is hard to tell because they shift the teams around, which is likely intentional to keep information low among BDRs. You should expect to make 300 – 350 calls per day with a daily sales quota that makes promotion statistically impossible for almost everyone. Your job is to generate leads for Account Executives who make at least five times your salary. These leads are not easy to generate – which is why they need highly motivated and intelligent BDRs. They would not be able to hire the quantity and quality of BDRs needed to generate these leads at $15/hr. SO THEY LIE – and falsely advertise that the BDR role is a temporary step to Account Executive. It is not. The Account Executive positions are coveted and there simply is no room for you at the top. The majority of BDRs live in constant fear of termination and blame themselves for not performing. They all burn out. Most of the top performers (like me) leave when they realize they are the butt of the joke. Virtually nobody stays. Lastly—they are calling prospects via auto dialer like 10-15 times a day. Think about the psychological impact that has on some of your potential clients who are often facing death or are severely ill (which is often the reason they inquired about life insurance in the first place). It is irresponsible to everyone involved and likely illegal under the TCPA's informed consent rules. It’s gross. Any class action attorneys researching this company-- please go do God's work. Best of luck to everyone considering this job.

Pros

Has been an great opportunity. Can do big things here. A lot of the complaints are people who dont put in the work to advance. You have to work hard to get to AE. They have sales meetings every month and call out promotions and there are ALWAYS a lot of promotions to sales roles. You literally see promos every month. Good earning opportunities get to work fully remote from home. They invest a lot into you starting up. Yes, you have to make it past BDR role but that’s an important role because it’s when you get licensed and then when you become an agent your get leads sent to you all day. Company is like a small family you can tell leadership is strong together which makes for an enjoyable work environment. Can go on with pros: good benefits, base pay, computer + monitors, incentives, company trips for top earners, training, it goes on.

Cons

They give chances to non- sales backgrounds. Therefore you’re sometimes dealing with the inexperienced people that think it’s a cake walk. They quickly find out it’s not as easy as they hoped. In turn they don’t try to get better and blame everything but themselves, which is why you see a lot of these negative reviews. I had people on my team complain about everything and you could tell it wasn’t going to work out for them right away. It’s sales it’s tough. Gotta put in the work as you would any company. People say you can make more flipping burgers.. ya their goals are also not long term if working for the minimu wage rather than the commission. If I could change one thing I’d suggest they only hire sales ppl so that everyone could be surrounded by like minded individuals but I get it. Some people make the most out of it with out sale background I’m sure
