      Great company culture. Poor department culture - Technical Support Specialist ecobee Employee Review

      Pros

      - company paid paramedical/vision/dental (80% covered) - inclusive and diverse - great support from OTHER employees of a DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT - very supportive company if you have family BUT not supportive from your department or manager - some great initiatives (e.g. record reading of a book and company will donate to SICK KIDS, after 3-months probation you can choose a non-profit to donate an ecobee to, etc.)

      Cons

      - preference of schedule is not considered even when you tell the right people - micro management so you do not go over your breaks - you are always told as a group to hold your breaks/lunches - if you do not take your final break by end of shift, too bad so sad - keep in the phone queue until the very last second of shift - if you have family and you're working from home, expect your calls to be perfect and without a single disturbance from your children or else you will be called out for it - your voice is not heard and does not matter - slow growth

      Pros

      Co-headquartered in Toronto and Leeds - very cosmopolitan with a high emphasis on DEI.

      Cons

      Tech company means people love ALLLLL the software. Information and resources are scattered across numerous platforms, which can be pretty frustrating.

      Pros

      ecobee is a great place to work because of the fantastic culture that exists here. Thanks to transparency from our CEO down, there are multiple teams helping support me in my role and hit my goals. Because there are so many intelligent, driven and willing people, we are able to work together to exceed goals and focus on what is important to our shared success. Many suggestions and support can be given because of it is known by everyone what you are working on and striving for. It also allows for frank conversations about what we can't work on because it would create misalignment with our goals. I am excited to be a part of a company that is constantly innovating, helping the planet, and looking to win in the market. Great time to be an ecopeep!

      Cons

      Too many great ideas and not enough resources to bring them all to life!
