Pros

I really love working at ezCater and having the opportunity to collaborate with so many different departments. One of the things I value most is the people. There is a strong sense of teamwork, support, and shared purpose across the company. I also appreciate the fast-paced culture and the chance to be part of an evolving company that is continuously growing and improving. The remote and hybrid model offers a great work/life blend, and Together Weeks provide meaningful in-person time to connect and strengthen relationships. Despite the recent changes, I trust that management and leadership are guiding us in the right direction and continuing to provide the resources and information we need to succeed. Overall, ezCater is a place where I feel proud to contribute, grow, and collaborate. Cons

Cant think of any, really enjoying going to work (remotely) every day!

Pros

Remote work and the people. I have worked with some of the most talented, compassionate, and customer-focused coworkers of my career. They genuinely care about one another and about delivering an exceptional customer experience. The culture that once existed was something truly special.

Cons

The company has changed dramatically, and not for the better. There have been multiple rounds of layoffs, including a significant reduction in force recently and another round before Thanksgiving. Each time, the remaining employees have been expected to absorb more work with fewer resources. Burnout is widespread, morale is low, and many employees are actively looking for opportunities elsewhere. Leadership often feels disconnected from the day-to-day reality of the people doing the work. Decisions seem to prioritize short-term cost savings over employees, culture, and long-term success. Benefits have also moved in the wrong direction, including substantial reductions to PTO and sick leave, while expectations continue to increase. The saddest part is watching the incredible culture that made ezCater stand out slowly disappear. The company used to value work-life balance, employee well-being, and trust. Today, many employees feel overworked, undervalued, and uncertain about the future. I joined ezCater believing it was one of those rare companies that truly lived its values. Looking back, that promise feels like it has faded. The people are still amazing—they’re the reason many of us stay—but leadership has made it increasingly difficult to see a long-term future here.
