Pros
They have beer on tap...
Cons
iDevices product portfolio is very weak in a saturated start-up environment ruled by big companies like google. iDevices products are consistently get poor reviews and the app always has connections issues with every update. The reason is the products are priced too high, too much focus on the app experience and not the product viability and an obsession with a sophisticated brand that someone on the design team sees as being equivalent to apple. iDevices has no brand recognition in the industry and very few people actually have their products. Despite repackaging and bundling the products, there is only 3 products that have not gained traction. iDevices did have one good product, the igrill, the one that started the company, but has since been sold off to Weber grills, and the company is trying to pivot from a grill accessory to a Smart Home company and has stumbled. I would caution against working here because there is uncertainty in the air. There is also no diversity and all the teams are 95% dudes. They try to sell the culture to offer lower pay, but unlimited paid time off is a psychological trick... everyone is afraid to take any time they deserve besides the upper 1%. There is no team spirit, innovation nor collaboration. There are 4 teams plus call center that are isolated and do not interact with each other. Well they are all kind of geeks with no social skills. The culture is highly conservative, the opposite of every startup I have worked with in the past. Doing things outside of the box and new is met with skeptism and reservations of not doing the same old same old. There is also a fair amount of fear of losing little control pockets of some managers, especially within the design team. There is also no room for advancement as the senior management are all high-school buddies who seem to have bumbled and stumbled into place.
