They sit around all day reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. There is no career advancement. They will say anything to you to fill a spot. The issue is that the ethical people who cared have left. They pay you under the normal because they can only win a contract by lowballing.

I was a sub to NCI before they stopped grouping with us and we had to work for NCI directly. They underbid the contract by 30% then gave every person a pay cut. While I was working for a sub we were off for two months. During this time the company sent all of us to training and continued to pay us for a month until we had to use leave or take no pay. NCI employees had to use their leave or take leave without pay during the whole two months of nonworking.
