Pros

People are one of Empower’s core pillars, and I can genuinely attest that both our leaders and team members are deeply passionate about our mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable medications. Shaun truly embodies this vision and consistently inspires the team by extending that commitment to employees through meaningful benefits, such as free compounded medications and in-office IV therapy. Even in a fast-paced environment, that passion is evident—it’s incredibly rewarding to work alongside individuals who truly believe in the impact of what we do.

Cons

As with many high-growth organizations, the fast-paced and constantly evolving environment may not be the right fit for everyone. Success here requires adaptability, a solution-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for making an impact amid ongoing industry changes. There are still areas where processes can continue to improve, but for those who enjoy driving improvement and being part of building something meaningful, this environment can be very rewarding.

Pros

Benefits for employees are comprehensive

Cons

-leadership misalignment which causes downward impacts on teams often leading to layoffs as leadership blames individual ICs for unreasonable deadlines. -this is a company that prioritizes short term thinking which ultimately sacrifices long term stability -there is no stability with this company as I was laid off without a performance improvement plan after my manager came back from a 2 week vacation without signaling any issue. -Numerous employees have lawsuits against the company including myself. -Wrongful termination and disability discrimination are prevalent.
