Pros

Just the residents and coworkers.

Cons

I was a COTA/L and DOR for almost 3 years creating the program with the biggest caseload and highest revenues within the company. I tried to make my "therapy career flourish" and went to OTR school full time and managed my building the entire time. When it was time for my fieldworks, I was promised that I would be able to go take care of them and have my job back upon completion. I even came back to work for a month and a half after my first 3-month fieldwork as previously agreed. But after the second fieldwork, a mere 4 DAYS before being scheduled to come back, I received a call stating that my job was not there for me anymore "we're just not going to move forward with you anymore" and they couldn't give me an actual reason why. To this day, I have been given no substantive rationale for this decision.

Pros

I love my work environment, flexibility, and respectful relationship with my immediate supervisors.

Cons

Cuts to Medicare contribute to limitations for financial growth as services are primarily reimbursed by Medicare. When I was hired I was told the company gives annual raises with performance evaluations. In spite of positive feedback, coworkers who recently had their performance evaluations were given no increase and the area director responsible for completing the review had no input in the decision regarding increases. I do not expect a performance increase this year during my review regardless of performamce.

Pros

As long as you have a good relation with your Clinic Director or immediate supervisor, you can arrange your schedule accordingly. Pay is ok. Good for entry level as they are always hiring.

Cons

Profit driven. Opens up communities and hires "full-time" before need so people are left hanging and without promised salary coming in since the need is not built with the caseload yet. MUST have good productivity or warnings will be given. You have off for holidays if you want but you don't get paid. Same, if you decide to work holidays, its your choice and your pay will not change.

Thank you for your review and feedback! We’re glad you’re able to flex your schedule to fit; we believe it’s so important to be able to balance your professional and personal life! EmpowerMe provides eligible full-time and part-time employees with accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) that can be used for vacation, holidays, and other purposes. Employees are encouraged to take time off to pursue their interests, rejuvenate, and recharge. We're also happy to hear that you're finding the pay is good, and that we’re a good place to start for new therapists! While we are always looking for additional therapists to meet our residents’ growing needs, we do sometimes experience a shortage of demand for our services in some regions. We’d love to hear more about your experiences; please reach out to HR if you’d be willing to chat. Thanks again! Your feedback is very important!
