Pros

You have the ability to write your own ticket. They are growing and you have a lot of potential. It is what you make of it. Win or Lose. Tons of Opportunity They give you the autonomy to go get the business. They pay well.

Cons

You train yourself (sink or swim)... It's like your own business within their business. (it can be good or bad really) Their is too many reports that could be condensed into one.

Pros

Generally a nice group of people that work long hours to get the job done. The compensation package is above average.

Cons

Magnificent growth potential if the following was in place (highlights listed below but these are not intended to be an all inclusive list): - Needs an operational infrastructure that will support growth and properly service customer base to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. Currently a lot of games are being played internally to set aside product for certain customers due to shortages b/c no forecasting process is in place. - Needs a clearly articulated strategic plan. There is a bit of "let's throw ____ at the wall and see what sticks". - Needs knowledgeable support staff key departments such as Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing. Company is seriously understaffed leading to inefficiencies and ineffective management of the business. The inclination of management is to throw bodies at problems versus securing the appropriate expertise. - The marketing department has no brand, product development or market research staff/management in place. This department has been generally ineffective in providing sales the tools needed to drive the business. Lacks a strong leadership team and does not have a clearly articulated plan. Emser Tile has high turnover employee rates and it is not unusual for people to leave after a few months. Unfortunately the talent that leaves is exactly the talent that Emser needs to stay to help turnaround the situation.
