      Favoritism, Unrealistic Deadlines and Poor Salary

      Pros

      Decent health benefits, good mission statement, flexible hours depending on position and company is active in their community.

      Cons

      It’s who you know at this company…not your skillset. If you're not "part of the family" you don't have job security. Senior Leadership doesn’t lead and are quick to throw members of staff under the bus. No employee onboarding or formal training provided so you’re set up for failure. Overall, obvious displays of favoritism, unrealistic deadlines, and poor salary.

      Pros

      - intimate work environment - leadership empowers and trusts employees to make their own decisions - giving back to the community is a priority to leadership and encouraged - small business environment lends itself to a variety of challenges and opportunities to develop different skills

      Cons

      As with any small business, there are growing pains that are continually evolving. Among these include communication and too much dependence on owner.

      Pros

      On the surface it seems like a great place to work as leadership will glad hand and treat you like "family". Some flexibility with hours.

      Cons

      Was told many times that I was valuable to the company and that I was family. Was even told by the President that as long as I wanted to work for the company that I had a job. Not a man of his word. Senior Leadership does not lead, they pass blame onto their team members when things go wrong. Team members feel like they have been thrown to the wolves much of the time. Poor communication from the top.
