Nursing Leadership lacks insight and makes impulsive decisions based on limited viewpoints. The regional preceptor for the Hospital Educator is vindictive and deliberately misconstrues information discussed in private conversations. Lack of communication for planning for a successful and acceptable onboarding process.

They put on a good front

The people who work there are amazing and helpful.

Cons

It has become more of a nursing home/palliative care environment. This is a rehabilitation hospital. The people who are coming in as patients need to be able to withstand 3 hrs of therapy a day. Encompass has been accepting patients who "don't have anywhere else to go" or need to be in hospice. This is the consensus among a large portion of the staff. We are trained to be Rehab nurses/therapists. Not long term care or hospice nurses.
