      Challenging and Patient Focused

      Pros

      Patient Focused Hospital. Hospital's culture is to deliver strong patient outcomes and a better patient experience. Hospital invest in employees with a very high number of certified registered rehabilitation nurses and several joint commission disease specific certifications. Many in-hospital educational opportunities. Strong medical staff. Good patient care team and getting better.

      Cons

      Work is challenging but rewarding. People with marginal skills mixes do not seem to last very long as expectations are high to achieve outcomes and expected patient experience. Hospital is old but clean. Hospital needs replacing.

      Pros

      the pay at healthsouth is good and the benefits are excellent.it is a for profit company and they will make sure they do anything necessary to get there.

      Cons

      human resource manager is a liar.all senior management is incompetent and will do anything to save their jobs.the regional vice president will sacrifice anyone and anything to make profit goals.

      Pros

      The facility I worked at was very laid back, perhaps too laid back. Getting the staff to get even its basic duties done was about impossible.

      Cons

      The pay there is lousy when you first start and the turnover in employees is even worse. Typically turnover is 5-10% and remember this is for 100-200 person facility so 10-15 people must be hired every month jsut to cover all the people coming and going.
