Pros

Company Culture and Vales, work schedule, atmosphere, co-workers

Cons

Opportunities to move up or grow can be a little stale if you're not in sales (although this has improved greatly), it can be a very stressful environment at times, benefits are so-so (however a lot of this has to do with our parent company, which kind of limits EL).

A Company that Lives by Core Values

Pros

EL has Core Values that are similar to mine. What is even better, they actually live by their values. This is an upbeat and friendly place to work. People are always smiling, holding doors for others, and positive affirmations are company-wide.

Cons

Salary is on the low end for comparable positions, but the atmosphere (no stress) makes up for it.

Pros

The ONLY reason I can bear to come to work every day is for the amazing people I work with.

Cons

You will show up for work one day and find that decisions have been made about you without ANY involvement or discussion from you. They will change your job duties, your job title and even move your desk without EVER asking you or even communicating it to you. A couple people learned of their changes through the grapevine, never being officially talked to by management! After you get all new job responsibilities they often do not give you the permissions or access to programs you need to do the job so you're up a creek. And training? Haha! Forget about it! Business decisions are constantly being made that make NO SENSE whatsoever to anybody. A recent decision took away the ability for people to do parts of their job and piled all of their work onto one person. This practice has been increasing at an alarming rate recently and people are foaming at the mouth and just plain frustrated beyond belief because it is the opposite of progress. I personally know 7 people right now who are looking for other jobs right now, not including myself. This place used to be so fun but now it is broken, I fear, beyond repair. I have heard management say that we are all replaceable. Me and my team are hard workers and do a good job but feel we are not valued in the slightest or even treated like adults. Admin and the support staff are completely marginalized, and on top of everything else, are not even paid well for everything we do for the company. For all of the talk about making this the best place to work, so little is actually done or improved upon that benefits Admin. Things are getting worse daily. And I do mean daily!
