Pros

Good people that work there.

Cons

I rarely post negative reviews but England deserves one. I wasn't let go. I left on my own to take another opportunity. I have 15 years of sales, sales management, and leadership experience and was paid $32,000 a year because I didn't have a degree. I see the value in education, but for some people, an education isn't possible. The job I left England for, vales me, my experience, and has a culture that walks what it talks. I now make a base salary of $75k, and I say that not to draw personal attention but to let people know that England is a place that values your education over experience, which in the professional areas is outdated. - A huge percentage of their payroll spend is targeted to management. - The opportunity for advancement is very poor. They create positions for advancement, but the increase in pay is minimal, to say the least. - Management jobs are limited. - The ratio of managers to teams is about 25:1, but the managers do get paid really well. Too well, because the salaries of everyone else, are way below average in Utah, and nationally. - I have heard opinions from many different people since I left England Logistics and they do not have a healthy reputation in Utah. - I left to take another opportunity. They do not value experience. - They require a degree for their account managers, which is a joke. I worked with 22 year old account managers that had degrees in exercise science, history, engineering, nursing, etc. - Very few managers have experience in leadership - Typical top-down call center management and environment

Thank you for the feedback. We continue to review our approach to compensation and compare it to the market place in each of our office locations. We strive to value our people in the compensation and benefits we provide and the opportunity for growth and development. In fact, our greatest financial investment is in our team members, the people who make it happen day in and day out. Yes, we value education and experience and we are committed to the success of our people today and in helping them achieve their full potential. This includes growing many of our leaders from within and giving them the training and coaching to become better leaders each and everyday. We believe this provides for increased growth opportunities for those who have the desire and the capability to become great people and organizational leaders. We strive to be transparent in this regard when people join England Logistics and see the opportunities to grow with us. We believe our approach provides opportunities for personal and financial growth that know no bounds. We invite people to come meet us and learn for themselves about the growing opportunities at EL.

Pros

Great pay and culture is great as well. Environment where you legitimately grow your own business.

Cons

Horrible training, very AGGRESSIVE METRIC SYSTEM, up or out mentality. 1 month of bad luck in sales will get you fired. Highest employee churn rate I have ever seen. Star from ground zero and work your way into being successful but then see no support in return, good luck!

Thank you for the advice. We do market our business and combine that with the more proactive strategy of reaching out to potential customers. We are also working to improve the training that we provide based upon experience and feedback from those who have succeeded and those who have struggled. Our goal is to help our people be successful. Our first core value is Career--meaning we strive to help our people succeed and achieve their full potential through providing training and coaching starting day one and continuing throughout their career at EL. I hope that employee who is struggling in their experience will be open and honest about their challenges and come to a senior leader, including myself, if they don't experience the support I am indicating is our commitment. We are working to build an even stronger culture of growth and development in which personal professional opportunity is employee driven, leader guided.
