Pros

• Autonomy to run your own book of business with the full support of management and coworkers. • Wonderful mentoring, corporate programs, classes, workshops to increase knowledge of sales and other facets of our industry. • Full open door policy to meet directly with any member of management. • England Logistics always promotes from within, before they look for outside candidates. • I’ve been employed here over seven years, been promoted several times, and have continually made more money every year. • England Logistics is extremely nimble for a company of this size, frequently being the first to adopt new technology that later becomes an industry standard. They strive to define and reshape the industry, not just play follow the leader. • Management frequently has surveys and idea round tables to gain feedback from the employees in efforts to improve. • Management doesn’t have a one size fits all method, they will modify their approach in how they handle different situations in order to do what is right for the employees and EL. • Several community outreach programs, including our goal to feed 1,000,000 hungry children. (We just accomplished this goad several months ahead of schedule.

Cons

• Health care is expensive. • Not everyone is cut out for the logistics. It is an extremely fast paced industry that requires your full attention.

Pros

There are some great individuals who you will interact with on a daily. Free Soda/culture of junk food if you like being rewarded with ice cream and doughnuts this is a good place to be. Clear metrics to promote to next position. If you are looking for a place where you can work hard day in and day out and stay in the same position for the rest of your life I highly recommend this place.

Cons

Health Insurance is expensive and horrible. PTO is horrible Culture reflects the 100 year old trucking company "People first" thought process does not exist, over the years that I have been here I have seen multiple people be promoted/hired because of personal relationships not qualifications. Flexibility doesn't exist, seen people be written up for taking the day off work after the birth of their first child.
