Pros
- Free lunch and dinner :) - Meaningful interaction with upper management and executives - Early career advancement for top performers - I have much more responsibility and intellectual independence compared to my friends working at top consulting firms and investment banks - Still a young enough company that the startup atmosphere is strong. Yet at the same time, since Enova is an established company, it doesn't have to deal with traditional startup problems (limited resources, limited data, etc.)
Cons
- Not all departments pull equal weight - People are very friendly with each other at the office, but outside of the office, not much interaction with coworkers. - Startups poach a fair number of talented employees. - We use Ruby on Rails (personal preference)
