Pros

I've worked for 4 startups around this size (51-20 people) and this one is the most mature in terms of infrastructure, process, technology and vision. Everyone seems genuinely united around our vision and values, and the leadership team works very well together. Best of all, it's simply a pleasant place to be because there's a healthy respect for one another and the fact that people have lives outside of the office. I'm enjoying my work more than ever, and I feel this is translating into some of my best results ever.

Cons

Not everyone can afford to work out of urban centers such as San Francisco indefinitely. Although people are able to work from home periodically, there is no policy yet regarding remote employees. At the current growth rate, this needs to be evaluated if we want to hire and retain great people -- especially if we aren't prepared to raise compensation.

Pros

I've been working at Entelo almost a year. This is, without a doubt, the kushiest place I'll ever work. You'll gain 15 pounds in the first two months from the incredible catered food alone. Everyone is treated like royalty and the company continues to grow. The culture is fantastic - wonderful people doing wonderful things.

Cons

Management promises a lot .... often way too much. If you accept an offer here, understand that you're jumping into an incredible office with a fast-growth company, but don't cling on to whatever isn't in writing in your contract. Promotions have taken way longer than promised (and they should never be promised).

A Special Place To Be

Pros

Joining Entelo was one of the smartest decisions I’ve made in my adult life. Not only are the people smart, compassionate, hardworking and fun -- the company is doing something really cool. I’ve worked at plenty of companies in the recruiting technology space and none are as cutting-edge as Entelo. The magnitude of the data we collect and the way we are changing how companies hire is groundbreaking. I’m thrilled to be part of the team bringing it to market. There are plenty more, but the biggest pros for me personally are: emotionally intelligent leadership & co-workers, free lunch & snacks, a professional development stipend you can spend as you see fit, great downtown SF location, competitive pay and a product that is actually moving the needle, not just talking the talk.

Cons

This is a fast-paced environment and team members who are scrappy, creative and nimble succeed. If you are someone who prefers a slower pace or are used to wearing just one hat; this environment may be too busy. This is also not a work from home culture, and leadership is transparent about that. We all have busy lives and schedules are certainly flexible when needed, but unlike other startups I’ve worked for, everyone comes in on Fridays.
