Pros

Young company with potentially strong product. Free food sometimes. Usually good coworkers. Okay base salary. Good HR department, congenial. Okay benefits.

Cons

Very difficult work environment, at least in the sales department. Management has no sales experience, promotions based on seniority, regardless of performance. Several people fired or demoted without clear reason. No training for new employees. No transparency, decisions made behind closed doors. No open door policy. Hiring is based completely on gut reaction by unqualified interviewers. Extremely non-diverse sales department. This could be a plus or minus. Those who performed well were not recognized or rewarded. Those who did not perform were able to keep not performing for months. When bonuses did come, they were awarded based on drawings or luck. This job rewards non-performance, at least right now while things are so disorganized. So there is less pressure than a normal sales job, but no stability. Sales areas were very confusing, and leads were constantly being redistributed until no one seemed to have enough leads, but the company kept hiring, even while no one performed. They moved to Lehi right after I was hired. Really inconvenient for a Provo family to suddenly have a commute. I hope they can turn it around somehow, because the product is great and I enjoyed serving my customers. But the sales department is just not a safe place right now for anyone serious about a sales career.

Pros

Honestly trying to think very positive my manager was awesome very laid back and didn't hover, now saying that he didn't hover and didn't really get after people so everyone just kind of did what they want to. As someone who constantly tried to do my best it was very frustrating.

Cons

It's a job, somethings suck somethings are awesome. The parts that suck are how messy it is. Your team calls out constantly so you will always be short staffed but then they want you to preform double metrics almost. When you do preform double metrics for you and the person missing its almost like its just expected out of you. No nice job thanks for covering yesterday we appreciate you. Like I said more just expected. Everyday feels like chaos even though the pay is not great I made more when I was 19. The information you are expected to retain per the pay is honestly my biggest down fall. I got into the job thinking Id move up fast but the team I am on has like 2 different families in it and they just move each other up the latter and expect you to just keep working at crappy pay and doing the worst part of the job for them.

Pros

I joined this company a few years ago and initially found it to be an exceptional place to work. The pay was highly competitive, benefits like unlimited PTO and overtime incentives were generous, and the flexibility of remote work was a significant perk. However, over time, every single one these advantages have been systematically stripped away, leaving the workforce disillusioned. Our department consistently exceeded expectations, surpassing our 2024 goals. Despite this, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) failed to meet her own targets and responded by slashing commissions by 30% while raising annual quotas by 40%. To compound the issue, these changes were concealed from us until the end of the first quarter, only to be retroactively applied to the start of the year. This lack of transparency resulted in some colleagues owing back money they had already earned—a deeply unfair and demotivating blow. Communication from the CRO is nonexistent. She demonstrates little understanding of our day-to-day responsibilities or the value we bring to the organization. Since these changes took effect, morale has plummeted, leading to the departure of five team members and even our director. Adding insult to injury, when employees submit their notice, they are terminated immediately rather than being allowed a standard transition period. Furthermore, they were promised payment through their intended notice date, but this commitment has not been honored, further eroding trust. On a positive note, I was able to obtain my life license and several certifications during my tenure, which I’m grateful for. My coworkers are outstanding, and the managers I’ve worked under rank among the best I’ve encountered—supportive, capable, and genuinely invested in their teams. Unfortunately, this stands in stark contrast to the C-suite, particularly the CRO, whose mismanagement and inequitable decisions are some of the worst I’ve witnessed in my career. If this trajectory continues, I foresee our department dissolving within the next year—either by the company’s own actions or because the remaining talent seeks opportunities elsewhere, a loss entirely of their own making. If you have gotten this far and are considering the role, I’d strongly recommend reconsidering; you may not have a job within a year

Cons

Lack of communication, zero transparency, false promises, dictator for a CRO who for whatever reason runs our department but doesn’t communicate directly with it and has been quoted saying that she runs Entrata with an “iron fist”
