Pros

Enverus is an decent company to work for if you are already in the Oil/Gas industry. The company is trying to make positive progression in a general head way.

Cons

A variety of items: 1) With the 17(?) acquisitions made in 2019, the company all of a sudden has just that many more middle and upper management people trying to stay relevant and keep their jobs. This causes a land mine field of toes to be stepped on, and if you aren't on the "winning" side... just start looking on how make your exit ASAP. 2) with the above, if you are in Sales and are looking for a healthy green field, all the extra sales reps the company has makes getting decent territory impossible, unless you are ok with just ridding out the status quo until you find something else. 3) with the two above statements, the upper management still insist on using Sandler sales instead of Challenger. Sandler is great single transaction sales, but with the combined products now.... Enverus is setting itself up to get entrenched in legacy selling and allowing competing companies to move in. 4) When I first looked at the company, I read a lot of reviews saying "good o'le boys club". At first, I was thinking there was going to be a lot of chit chat about football, golf, and whatever, which doesn't really bother me, but after time, I learned its more of co-workers that know each other from other jobs/companies/time and they get advantages that in a current tech company wouldn't be allowed.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback as there is some good insights we can grow from. Our acquisition history certainly has created some new challenges for us but we are focused on quick integration because we look to improve the capabilities of our customers. I can understand your perspective on middle management and while we did acquire three companies in 2019, those largely were void of middle management. You are right about our desire to use Sandler and that it can be transactional focused. But its important to keep in mind that we serve a very large and different market, from single person companies to the largest energy companies in the world. Meaning its not a one size fits all sales approach. Challenger is a great sales methodology but in market like we serve today its less focused on the care and retention of the customer which is incredibly important. We believe in a mix of sales philosophies and are certainly adapting to the both the market and capabilities we have continue to acquire and develop.

Pros

Working at DrillingInfo really does bring out the best in you. If you surround yourself with greatness it naturally rubs off. The product is best in class, it feels like a family in the Austin office, and the people work harder than anywhere else.

Cons

With the high growth environment sometimes employees take on too much. I believe the root cause is due to employees truly caring for the well being of the DrillingInfo family.

Pros

Good office benefits. Easy to work from home

Cons

Co-workers get into groups excluding work from you. When one person is always going to sacrifice their work/life balance then everyone is going to use that person. Unless you are willing to do this, this company is not for you.

I wish I understood this feedback so that I could respond appropriately but it just doesn't make any sense. You are saying that those who assert themselves by demonstrating high engagement get the plumb assignments? How is that bad? Work life balance is unique to each person and not a one size fits all. So I wouldn't make an assumption that someone is sacrificing work life balance unless that person was making the claim not this reviewer. We actually want employees to enjoy what they do and to be highly engaged. But there has never been a mandate on how that manifests itself.
