Pros

I worked in the Seattle Street office, campaigning for Environment Washington. It was a supportive and empowering atmosphere, full of diverse thinkers and leaders and I learned many important skills. I made a lot of friends here. Being a Field Manager is the only way to really get the most out of the job.

Cons

Awful management and director dynamics, they have a quota and it can be hard to reach if you're not good at the job, they hire almost anyone and I've been harassed by a couple former co-workers, there's no real support coming from the regional management, it's a fend for yourself situation. Honestly if you don't feel like this is your thing by the end of week 1, just leave.

Pros

Walking around beautiful seattle, hopefully when it's not pouring down rain.

Cons

I respected the morals of this company at first, but wow. I have never been more disrespected by an employer in my entire life. It has been 3 months since I left that job and I still have yet to receive my final paycheck. I called finally a month after and they said they had my check waiting for me at their downtown Seattle office. So I drive all the way downtown, pay about $15 for parking, just to go upstairs and some guy in the office tell me that they actually sent it back to headquarters in boston and that they would be sending it to my home. As frustrated as I was, I let it go and patiently waited for it to come in the mail. It has been a month and I have still received nothing in the mail. I finally reached a woman on the phone today and explained my frustrations in hopes she could direct me to a solution but received nothing but a snarky attitude and to call back during 10 am to 2 pm during regular business hours. What a joke. I would never recommend someone to work for this company unless they are prepared for volunteer work. These guys are SKETCH. BEWARE.

Pros

-Flexible income. You get to keep a portion of what you make over quota. -Wonderful group of people to work with. -Great leadership. -People were passionate about the causes.

Cons

-you are either cold calling, standing in front of grocery stores or going door to door asking for money. -the majority of people you come into contact with have very little respect for you. -The majority of the money goes back into running the non-profit rather than going towards the actual causes.
