Pros

- Wonderful place to work the past +16 years! Thought unfortunately this new Administration is trying to strip the Agency of its sole purpose and mission.

Cons

- New Administration... enough said! Unfortunate that the EPA is the scapegoat for this Administration, which claims that the EPA is ultimately the reason that more jobs do not exist in the U.S., which is clearly incorrect. The protection EPA provides around human health AND jobs clearly provides significantly greater benefits.

No Accountability, Racial Tensions

Pros

The pros are that there are several flexible schedules available. There is also a free gym for employees to use and there are many developmental opportunities as far as details and temporary promotions (depending on your career field).

Cons

HIghly political environment. People cluster together by race/ethnicity and take care of each other based on race/ethnicity instead of knowledge, skill, and ability. There is no accountability and there are people employed that should have been fired a LONG time ago. These people get shifted from organization to organization so they don't get fired and even end up getting promotions.

Pros

Given more responsibility overtime that was related to actual work (no delivering coffee). Great work-life balance, pays for transportation, very integrated work environment with lots of contact with upper management and other departments.

Cons

Most employees have been in their positions for many years (many 10+ years) and this may lead to the absence of new opinions. Employees are not necessarily environmental conscious (many printed out unnecessary documents or used styrofoam cups often). Work pace and processing is slow
