      Pros

      The people at EPA are incredibly devoted and focused. The Agency is mission-driven and takes its work seriously. They are a cadre of intelligent, dedicated folks doing everything they can to protect the environment.

      Cons

      The political climate is devastating. EPA is everyone's favorite Agency to hate, and it gets attacked from all sides. Very low morale, especially in an election year when issues like climate and clean water are viewed as being anti-business.

      Pros

      Good mission: protecting human health and the environment. Pretty good opportunities for training and career advancement.

      Cons

      Management is hit or miss. Usually people that have been there the longest get promoted to management whether they have managerial skills or not.
