Being employed. Meeting some great people. Lots of experience early in your career

Cons

Constant change of leadership. Zero lateral mobility. Almost zero upward mobility unless you work evenings and weekends. Once you realise the workloads are unrealistic you might be tempted to voice an opinion about this. In my experience, they prefer to put people on a time management course or PIP them out of the company as there are lots of writers ready to replace you. Strangely, people in medical writing are usually ex-academics willing to work outrageous hours for no compensation, which is probably why private equity firms keep buying out these agencies. If you value work-life balance, this might not be it.

Good team environment with colleagues and flexible working.

Cons

Executive leadership team not serious about taking actions from employee feedback surveys - the results are not shared properly across the department and no real plan to address the issues. Also there has been silent redundancies across the company with no staff communication.
